Beth Agostino (former member, 2011)
Beth and her husband Jim have two wonderful children, Tatiana and Michael, adopted from St. Petersburg, Russia in 2002 and 2005 respectively. “They are the greatest blessings in our lives” says Beth. Beth graduated from Cornell University in 1992 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. After college Beth went to work for Raytheon, where she met her husband Jim. After two years at Raytheon, she left to pursue her interest in software development and consulting, which she spent ten interesting years working for several startup companies. In 2002, Beth left the software start-up world to start a family. In 2004, Beth & her husband Jim, opened Peoplefit Health and Fitness in Woburn, MA. Beth’s personal interests include tennis, golf, singing, Latin dancing and of course time with her family such as walking, taking bike rides, skating & sledding, and spending time at the beach.

Jerry and Stephanie Carberry
Jerry & Stephanie live in Dover, NH. Jerry is a Mortgage Specialist with Envoy Mortgage in Dover and Stephanie works in Human Resources at Foster's Daily Democrat also in Dover. They have "three great children," Josh 16, Zachary 12, and Erin 11. "New Hope helped complete our family in 2000 when Zachary and Erin (both born in St. Petersburg) came home," says the couple. "Our lives were forever changed!" As a family, they enjoy many activities that always include one if not all three playing sports.
Dyan Ciccone
Dyan and her husband Gary have two beautiful boys, Niccolai, adopted from Ukraine through New Hope in 2000 and his little brother Piero, born just 10 months after their adoption. "We feel blessed to have had such a wonderful adoption experience—thanks to New Hope—followed by the miracle of our birth son," says Dyan. "They are great little men and the best of friends." Dyan has assisted families interested in International adoption since her own adoption. Dyan is a graduate of Harvard University. A professional web writer, she has helped to maintain New Hope's website since 2003 and later joined the Board of Directors. Dyan's volunteer work also includes supporting efforts to promote human rights. Dyan enjoys reading, writing, walking, golfing, and especially spending time with family at their lake home in Southern New Hampshire, where (with boys) the family's "pets are unavoidably bull frogs, snakes and snapping turtles."

Bethany Cote
Bethany, with her husband Reed, adopted their daughter Klavdia through New Hope in 2010. Klavdia is our  “dream come true,” says Bethany; a lovely child that has adjusted well over a short time to her new life.  Because of the successful experience she had with New Hope and because of her desire to help other orphaned children, Bethany joined New Hope’s Board in 2011.  Bethany was employed with Raytheon Company as a Project Manager from 1999-2011 but recently decided to become a stay-at-home mom to her 3 children. Bethany holds a BS and MBA in Business Administration from UNH and Bentley College respectively. Bethany enjoys, hiking, camping, skiing and prior to becoming a mother, was an avid international traveler (India, Africa, Kuwait, UAE, Thailand, Europe, etc.) for both business & pleasure.

Nate DiLisi (former member, 1993-2011)
Nate is an original member of the New Hope Board. He married in June 1968 to his wife Sharon, the couple has two children and two grandchildren. Nate graduated Baptist Bible Seminary in 1969, was pastor and in church development for eight years. He graduated Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1982. Nate was in the U.S. Air Force four years and medical Corps. He's run a private practice out patient osteopathic medical management since1986. Nate's innterests include photography, reading, grandchildren, golf, hunting, and life in general.
Celeste and Chris Karski
Chris and Celeste have been adoptive parents for nine years. They first worked with New Hope in 2002 to adopt Alex and later in 2009 to adopt Victor. Both children are from St. Petersburg, Russia. The family lives in Milford, New Hampshire and enjoys the quietness of their woodsy setting where the boys have great adventures running the trails. Chris is employed by Sodexo Health Care managing hospitality services at a Massachusetts hospital. He has worked in the customer service environment for over 25 years. Celeste is employed as a Laboratory Information Systems manager in a Nashua hospital. Her career began as a Medical Technologist and transitioned into informatics with an emphasis in customer service. Their experience with the New Hope adoption process was "well informed and rewarding," says Celeste. "We hope to assist on the board to guide others through the process and continue the mission of NHFC."
Alisa Karwowski
Alisa is the author of A Guide to Russian Adoption: Professional Counseling and Personal Insights and is the adoptive mother of two boys from St. Petersburg, Russia. Alisa is the guidance director at a private high school on the seacoast and serves as the Russian Representative for New Hope for Children. She holds a private practice license in counseling. Alisa is the Director of the Orphanage Fund, Keeping the Promise. She has made appearances on the Today Show, MSNBC, The Joy Behar Show and NECN to discuss sensitive issues surrounding international adoption.
Hugh McDonald
Dr. MacDonald has extensive experience in Family Practice. Following his medical training, Dr. MacDonald practiced in Pennsylvania for several years, gaining considerable Urgent Care experience as an Emergency Room Physician.  During this time he taught medical students and also served as a School district Physician, a Hospice Care Program Medical Director, and a Certified Medical Review Officer. Outside of the office, Dr. MacDonald is married with twin toddler boys. You are likely to find him enjoying outdoor activities – especially skiing, hiking and traveling.
Carol Ann and Tom Sawyer
Tom and Carol Ann live in Dracut, MA. Tom is a union carpenter and Carol Ann is a Desktop Support Specialist at a company in Chelmsford, MA. The couple adopted Andrew from St. Petersburg, Russia in 1996 when he was one year-old. They have two other sons, Chad and Erik, and have three grandchildren. Tom and Carol enjoy traveling, camping and being with their families. Andrew is very athletic, loves to play all sports but baseball is his passion.

Lon Siel
Lon Siel is an attorney at a New Hampshire state agency and a former chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the New Hampshire Bar Association. Lon lives in Concord, NH with his wife and two children. He has taught adult Sunday school, translates for the deaf at his church, and currently serves as the chair of his church's Security Team. Lon has been a director for NEW HOPE since its inception.

Phillip Zarrow
Phil resides in Durham, NH and Winchester, MA. His children from his first marriage, are both adopted: a son (now 28) through private adoption and a daughter (now 24) adopted from St. Petersburg at the age of 5. Phil works as a consultant in electronic manufacturing processes and technology and has travelled worldwide. His hobbies include restoring eclectic cars, music, and travel and is a somewhat avid reader.
